Thanks, Gaile. I ran my Booga through my mom's top-loader yesterday, and it seemed to help a lot.

I just took a look at the one I made my daughter, and it doesn't show stitch definition the way yours does. Even with a front loading machine I would think it would felt if you use hot enough water and had jeans in there for increased agitation. As well, you only need enough water to cover what's in the machine - too much water seems to interfere with the agitation.
